It's Gone

I pressed 'send' on an email to an agent at 8.35 am today.

She hasn't got back to me yet so she obviously doesn't like it.

I know, I know. Anyway, I've still got stuff to do - polish the remaining chapters, research other agents in case she turns it down, start writing my next book.

Feels weird, though.

She's had it two hours and hasn't called? The cheek of the woman!

Seriously, it's a brave and scary thing you've done today. Well done. Hope it turns out great for you. If not, there are plenty more out there.

Good luck!

Paradigm well and truly shifted ...

This part is now out of your hands so try to concentrate on the stuff you do control.

Have I told you how proud I am of you? I have? Can I say it again?

I wish there was a "slow send" button where we could retrieve it if we chicken out. Although that would mean nothing would ever get sent, at least for me. It's a brave thing you've done this day!

awww well you lasted a few hours longer than I usually do :-)

I always think the waiting is the hardest bit love, so treat yourself to some chocolate and don't beat yourself up for screaming at your email program or phone when because the agent hasn't contacted you in the ten minutes since you last checked for a response. Not that I do anything like that, you understand.

Good luck, love xx

Crossing many things that ONE agent will realise that they are getting a good thing! And possibly he/she was just running slowly...

Yay, well done you. You are amazing. The waiting bit is horrible though, and the best way to cope is to distract yourself with a new project... so quick, start writing that next book!
